Chi Nei Tsang: Requirements for CNT CERTIFICATION :

CNT 1 Practitioner

*Two weeks of CNT 1 RETREAT TRAINING, or the equivalent (80 hours training with HTIA certified CNT Teacher)

*One week of BASICS RETREAT TRAINING, or the equivalent (40 hours training with certified HTIA Teacher)

*One week of FUSION OF THE FIVE ELEMENTS TRAINING or the equivalent (40 hours training with certified HTIA Teacher)

*One week of either TAI CHI CHI KUNG TRAINING or IRON SHIRT CHI KUNG TRAINING or the equivalent (40 hours training with certified HTIA Teacher)

*One week of CNT 2 RETREAT TRAINING, or the equivalent (40 hours training with certified HTIA Teacher)

*A minimum of 1 year of Healing Tao training (Basic Healing Tao and CNT experience)

*One Hundred case studies of people worked on. (ie. 10 people 10 treatments each or 20 people 5 treatments)

*Students must have received at least 10 treatments from a CNT practitioner or teacher (10 hours)

*Self study of Anatomy and Physiology (approx. 60 hours)

*Self study supervised and reviewed by a mentor: Chi Kung and Nei Kung (meditation) practice (100 hours)

(Mentors will play a key role in training and supervision of all self-study).

*Student must have a Letter of Recommendation from a certified HTIA Teacher

*Students must become a Full member of HEALING TAO INSTRUCTORS ASS. OF THE AMERICAS

*Recommended: a letter from the student as to why they want to be a CNT practitioner (Recommended 300 words)

*Applicants must also submit written documentation of instruction in all Healing Tao courses. You should include title of courses with dates of training, number of hours and location. Please include your instructor's signatures with documentation (if possible).

*Fifteen hours of continuing education credits (CEU's) will be required every two years.

Testing Procedures:

-Demonstration of several CNT techniques.

-Interview with at least two CNT Instructors

-Testing is designed to be educational not intimidating; filling in the gaps

of the students knowledge base. If the students have done all the above

prerequisites, they are eligible to perform the Demonstration and Interview.

-Students need to demonstrate an understanding of the correlations from five element theory. ie. Yin/Yang, organ pairing, colors, emotion/virtue. This is one of the things that makes what CNT practitioners offer unique compared to other massage techniques.

Notes: 3/02 CNT Certification Requirements:

The HTIA Board decided having 500 hours of training is necessary to meet the National Standards.

We will honor some previous study, but only in the anatomy-physiology self study prerequisites. Angela Wu will be in charge of reviewing this.

Angela will also design a study guideline that we can give to mentors of students. The students will be able to use this study guide for their (one hundred hours of self-study) prerequisites.

Fifteen hours of continuing education credits (CEU's) will be required every two years in a related training (in writing).

Requirements for CNT CERTIFICATION :

CNT 2 Intermediate Practitioner

*A minimum of 1 year of CNT 1 Training and Practice.

*One week of CNT 2 Retreat Training or the equivalent (40 hours training with HTIA certified CNT Teacher who is trained in CNT 2)

*One Hundred case studies of people worked on.

(ie. 10 people, 10 treatments each or 20 people, 5 treatments)

*Student needs to show a specialty of some kind in CNT:

(ie. Chi Kung Healing, emotional release, detoxifying, etc.)

*Student must Demonstrate and Review Buddha Palm Chi Kung form.

*Fifteen hours of continuing education credits (CEU's) will be required every two years.

Requirements for CNT CERTIFICATION :

CNT TEACHER

*A minimum of 1 year of CNT 2 Training and Practice

*30 hours experience as Assistant Teacher (two weekends)

*2 CNT Teachers will nominate the potential teacher and submit it to the Certification Committee for approval.
