HTIA Certification Requirements for Full Instructors UPGRADING

General

1. To get certified beyond the basic full instructor status, the instructor must have been an active dues paying member of the HTIA for the previous year (late payments accepted).
2. There is a $50. testing fee. If you pass there is a $25. administrative fee for putting this information into the Healing Tao system and website.
3. You may not test for certification in any area prior to becoming a full instructor (100 hours prerequisite, 4 weeks instructor training, two years practice in most cases).
4. At least one senior instructor must be present at testing.
5. Must study the available books/audio/videos relevant to the subject.

Iron Shirt

1. Must take Iron Shirt 1-2-3 either during or after the full instructor certification training.
2. Total training hours in Iron Shirt must be at least 80 hours (two week long retreats or a combination of weekend and full week retreats).
3. It is possible to certify DURING the Iron Shirt week of full instructor training for Iron Shirt 1 only.
4. To certify for Iron Shirt 2 & 3 you must first teach Iron Shirt 1 for one year, and take an extra one week
