Associate Instructor Certification authorizes one to teach the Basics within her/his own local area only.  This certification allows you to teach: the Microcosmic Orbit Meditation, the Six Healing Sounds, the Inner Smile, Chi Self-Massage, and the Chi-Kung warm-ups from Master Chia's Tai Chi book.

Many students begin w/ the fast track Associate Instructor Certification and later upgrade to Full Instructor as they gain experience in the basics of Chi Kung and Taoist Meditation.

New applicants must have completed 70 hours of  Universal Healing Tao training prior to the Teacher Training  within a period of not less than one year.  This can include private study and training hours with Senior and Full Certified Healing Tao instructors in the United States and abroad as well as study with Master Chia.  Taped instruction is not applicable.  Private lessons, weekend workshops or regular classes can be counted.

If you are counting your hours, 1 week retreats are equal to 35 hours of training.  Your training must include the following courses: Microcosmic Orbit, Six Healing Sounds, Inner Smile and Fusion I. Tao Basics and Fusion Retreats with certified instructors in the U.S., Europe, Thailand, and other international locations will fulfill this requirement.

Associate Instructor applicants are tested on their knowledge of the Inner Smile, Microcosmic Orbit and the 6 Healing Sounds. Associate Certification Testing Fee is $75.
